I've done the matched bet now, I messed up half way through and I think I've managed to sort most of it, thanks to the guys on the gambling board :T :T I should end up with about 62.00 from it which is actually a poor return on such a big bet, but I would need so much in betfair and I don't have it :o:D I'm happy with 60 odd quid for very little effort anyhow ;):D

Morning :D:D We're supposed to be going to my friends beach hut again today but the weateher doesn't look up to much  May review it and go round one of our houses instead ;)

I got paid for one mystery shop today, I've added it to my overpayments total on my sig but its staying in my normal account as I counted it as part of the 1k I paid off last week :D I will ring them up today but I'm fairly sure my mortgage balance won't have changed yet, I'm guessing it will take a few days

Nothing else planned yet for today so will try and get at least 3 things crossed off my list ;) Have a good day all :D

A quick question for anyone out there who does matched betting ....

How much float do you build up at Betfair before you start withdrawing winnings? I was originally aimin for 500.00 but is that enough?

    More random ramblings ....

My aim when I started the mortgage free in 3 years challenge was to overpay by 2400.00 each year (200 p/m); however I have already beaten this this year, so am ahead of where I expected to be with the mortgage ;)

My summer challenge will be finishing at the end of the week (I MUST get the Wii on ebay :o ), and I am thinking about another target ....

I am going to aim to reach my MFi3 target of 50,000 by the end of the year  :D:D

Currently my mortgage stands at 52,669, so I need to find 2,669 in the next 4 months. I have broken this downtomake it a bit easier ...

Normal monthly payments will clear 460.00 off the capital

Money I am expecting each month that goes to overpayments (quidco / wages / aqa / mystery shops etc) =
    • September = 224.00
    • October = 307.00
    • November = 256.00
    • December = 142.00
I've also got the terramundi that I put my 2.00 coins in, its over half full, am guessing tere could be 100.00 - 150.00 by the end of the year ... and also the backdated maintenance money of about 250.00 which I should get next week.

    So, 460+224+307+256+142+150+250 = 1789.00

This would mean I still need to find (2669-1789) = 880.00

This is really ambitious and I have no idea if I could find an extra 220.00 a month on top of everything else and with xmas coming up, but it would be sooo good to hit 50k by the end of the year .....

I haven't included any matched betting money in this as I mentioned in my last post I need to build my betfair float up a bit more, although by tonight it should *fingers crossed* be approx 250.00, so I may be able to take some money out before the end of the year ;) Also, I can make more money form AQA .... Hmmm, so many things to think about .... :D:D:D

    Hi Benben

It must be the day for it! I've been posting a long, reorganisation, self challenge post like this on my thread. Go for it! With matched betting and the betfair float, I can't quite remember what I did.... I know I "repaid" the float I started with quite quickly. I have a separate account I do things like free bingo and matched betting from, and it includes a free £800 overdraft for now, so I don't even think about the betfair float, I withdraw back and forth so its building up interest if Im not using it. I checked on that kind of thing with southernscouser when I was thinking about it, and he said the same, he didn't have the *money* for betfair money to just sit there, so he was always sendng it back and forth between his current account and betfair and the bookie he was doing.

For my loan repayment in full, I've included regular repayments, slight overpayments, amazon etc, matched betting, quidco etc, mystery shopping and yes, trading! I *could* be debt free (I wrote "free" at first!) by Christmas with all that lot contributing! It would be wonderful.....

I was dabbling in mb last week, and I built up a float of just £100 last week as I've been taking it slowly with the smaller free bets to make sure I understand what I'm doing. I think your float would be as much as you can afford it to be if that makes sense. I can't afford to have too much tied up in betfair, as I also like to see it settle in real cash back in my bank acc.

If you can afford the £500 to be in there then go for it. Good luck

KC ... I've just read your post and it does sound do-able ;) At first when I think of these random plans they sound like pie in the sky, but once they are broken down they are fairly manageable ;):D

KC and Yukkibear ... I think I will repay the moey I borowed from my current account to get started wit matched betting (about 70.00), then withdraw the rest as I have a 700.00 overdraft I don't use much on my normal account, and then do as you say KC and transfer the money across when I need it ;)

I also remembered my maintenance is going up by 70.00 a month so as I've been living without it I will include that money in overpayments till Christmas too, so the 880.00 is looking much easier to find now ...
    Aim: 880.00
    Maintenance overpayments 240.00
    Sell the Wii 130.00
    AQA (50 p/m) 200.00
    Matched betting (75 p/m) 300.00

Which only leaves a tenner to find  :D:D:D
That seems too simple now, surely theres a catch??
