Quidco have decided today to pay me 26.00 for a transaction that was declined in August 2006  Am very happy about that ;):D
I didn't go to the gym after school tonight, instead I went to the local pound shop and stocked up on loads of stuff to go in a special box for ds to encourage his muscles / fine motor skills etc. He's currently doing some hama beads next to me at the table which is very unusual for him :D

Evening all :D Another mad busy day here, I don't know where March is disappearing to but its flying at the moment :o Tonight we went straight to my mums after school for dinner, ds did a bit of skipping and we practiced drawing some patterns for about 5 minutes before he ran off thoroughly bored :o I didn't make it to WW again tonight as I wanted to get him bathed and in bed early tonight as his teacher said he was quite tearful at school today and kept asking for me :o This is very unusual for him, he hates anyone seeing him upset, so am hoping he was just tired and an early night might help sort him out a bit. He was in bed at 7 and asleep at 8.10.

I've had my bath and spent an hour tidying the kitchen and bathroom (I keep avoiding doing the lounge for some reason), and have also got stuff ready for the morning; his uniform is out ready, his shoes are clean, my bag is packed, his swimming stuff is ready, stuff to drop off at my aunts house is ready, stuff to take to my grandads (he's 92 tomorrow :D ) is ready ... as you can tell, tomorrow is gonna be another busy day, and all this busy-ness has meant I haven't been to the gym since the weekend :o I am now in bed and am hoping for a fairly early night as I'll be shattered again tomorrow night otherwise

No moneymaking done today either other than 10p on a scratchcard :o

Forgot to mention I phoned up my mortgage provider last night as my fixed rate runs out in a couple of months; my current rate is 5.19%, they offered me another fixed rate of either 2 or 3 years for 4.49% or a 4 yr fixed for 4.99%. None of them will have any fees ... off now to play around with the figures and work out some stuff, part of me is tempted to go for the 3 yr fix, but hopefully by the time it runs out I will only have about 15K left to go ... but then will I start all over and get a bigger property  :D I also need to be careful as I'll be limited to overpaying 10% a year which is now getting to be a smaller and smaller amount, hmm, lots of thinking to be done ;)

Happy birthday grandad!!! My OH has a birthday tomorrow too - not 92 (although he feels it, he says).

Re the mortgage, could you get an offset one rather than a fix?

Thats the other thing I'm considering Hypno, the one account doesn't have any feed but then again it doesnt get very good reviews on here either  At least with an offset I could get at my money if I needed to and I think I'm organised enough with it to be able to track it, but then again, with a fixed I could always keep whatever excess I'm not allowed to overpay and use it for matched betting funds   Aaagh, so many decisions !!! :D

The fixed rate for 3 years would save me 17.00 a month, which while its a help doesnt seem a particularly great saving  I am starting to think more about an offset as I think it may be more motivating as I can see everything online which I can't do currently, and also it won't limit me on what I can chuck at it ;)

The One Account might not get very good reviews on here but I'm currently paying less in interest than you're being quoted with a fixed deal. I've had mine for the past 5years and whilst I can agree with the posters on the whinge about the One Account thread they aren't the greatest at passing on rate decreases they do allow a huge amount of flexibility and overpayments are unrestricted. If you do go that route they charge £200 for a property valuation before they'll take you on but they often have refer a friend offers which give you beween £100 and £150 cashback once you've signed on the dotted line.

Evening all :D A hectic day as predicted but quite a good one too; ds did fine at swimming, was well behaved at my nans house and when we got home we played plasticine for about half an hour and he loved it which was great as its fab for his fingers / grip etc :D:D and when he did finally go to bed (about 8pm) he fell straight asleep :D

Off for a bit more number crunching now, back soon ;)
