Independent consultant wanted to help chose how to heat our home?

We are building a new home (if the planners say yes  )
We live in the country, in Northern Scotland, so cold winters. :snow_grin
We need an efficient, cost effective way to heat our home.
My Question is; is there somewhere I can go and get impartial advice on which system, from wood chip burning through ground heat recovery systems to oil
would be the best for us, and what grants and incentives there are and how to claim them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm not independent... nor am I suitably qualified. But having a flat in Scotland, I'd suggest that nothing else is going to be able to touch Scottish Hydro.
