Love it CAFCgirl :T
gailey - you can do anything if you put your mind to it......for much of the last couple of years my income was hit and miss as I was self employed. But with the ideas on MSE I managed to keep ahead of the debt and make inroads to it. Sometimes it is tough, sometimes you get money out of the blue you didn't ever really expect to pay out, but as long as you keep on working at it, the debt DOES come down.
I would hate to think how much more the debt would be standing at without the help of this site :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Didn't you say you were once 100k in debt? Half way now, thats amazing especially as you say you were self employed and was not earning what you are now.0

Yes, at worst it was over £100k. I was getting to that point where I really really didn't think we had any other option than bankruptcy, but I didn't want to do that because I would lose my job, and wouldn't ever be able to go back to it.
Now, although there is still a huge way to go, I feel as though there is light at the end of the tunnel! The debt no longer keeps me awake at night and I finally feel as though I am in control of it rather than the other way round.
It has taken a long time (8 years) to get to this point though!! Gulp!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hyno, I know your right dont want to use self employed as an excuse.
I onky have enough moeny to lats me until oct, only ever worked before so used to set income but now my income will vary.I currently live on money from stuff that I sold so scary tiem, just hoping my gailey creations prove profitable!
I have worked out I wnat to earn 400 a month, 80 quid of which is fixed child benefit so need to earn 320 from business and selling!
I add added outgoings upo nursury, mob fone, 30payment to barclays which is over the min and £100 poersonal spending of 25quid awek which is quite hard. That will leave me with 40surplus as outgoings only come to 360 but think if i make that will pay extra debts off faster and anything I earn over £400 is definatly a bonus so will pay off debts with it.
Its just so hard as set up savinsg account fot tax, am stressing about xmas and wanted to save for hols next year as well as pay off some debts as want £1500 overdraft and £600 barclaycard gone!
Hubby has egg card and tesco credit card to pay off too!
Your pic made me laugh, you should email to egg, not sure what intrest ehs paying as thourght it was 0 or quite low!pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

gailey, why don't you join the "£10 a day challenge"? Using a lot of the ideas there you could get the majority of your required £400 without too much worry!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
