    Crikey, at £20 I'd consider a round myself :o .

My DD was mortified when I suggested putting a Christmas card through the door with every paper and only agreed to do it if I supplied the cards  .

She wasn't so mortified by the number of 'papergirl please ring bell' notes stuck on doors - I think she ended up with around £30 (out of which she obviously didn't refund the cost of the cards  ).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

That shows you Capitalism is alive and well in our nation's youth!

I made my money thanks to the local newsagents selling cheap candy even cheaper. I used to buy something rediculous like 40 odd sweets (like refreshers and the sherbert straws) for £3 (which was my lunch money) and sell them to guys at school and on the school bus! Made me £15 a day! :T

Good times! My mum was worried that I was dealing drugs or mugging old ladies becasue I always had a lot of money on me!
 Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

How do you amass £70k in a year?!

DS will only be doing a Sunday round so I wouldn't expect he will get much, if anything at Christmas. I won't mention the possibility to him, but will get him to do Christmas cards!

I have managed to pick up a few Adult Ed workshops for the next few weeks - should net me about £300 after tax etc so all very useful, although they take aaages to pay so I won't "allocate" the funds in my mind just yet

Was hoping for a NSD today but then remembered I need to buy DS a birthday present - nothing exciting, but he does need a pair of jeans, because he has outgrown his, and all he has left are very tatty tracky trousers which are not fit to be seen in public in.........so I will be on a mission this lunchtime!

Well done on your MS and your DS getting a paper round x Good news about the adult ed classes as well
  • Well done on the paper round. Winter tips could still be something to look forward to. Boy in my tutor group announced he got £150 in tips over Xmas which needless to say I was very impressed with. Turns out his dad drove him to and through his paper round, but did Dad receive any of the £150 towards petrol? Nope!:rotfl:I suppose it's enterprising in a way. More fool dad for doing it.

£10 left in my account 'til payday Tues. Having minor op to remove cyst on eyelid tomorrow morn. Hoping this will lead to a quiet, cheap weekend. Any suggestions for activities that are both free and can be completed with an eyepatch welcomed...!

Stuffed marrow for dinner today - yum! What's Hypno and everyone else having?

Miss Bez, hope the eye is not too painful - sounds eww!

Dinner tonight is a baked version of spag bol - not sure if it will work, have bunged it all in a pyrex dish and shoved it in the oven, mince, pasta, sauce and pasta etc all together. I will stick some grated cheese on the top in a while and hope for the best :o
