Cream butter and sugar together, mix in flour and eggs
spread into a swiss roll tin and cook for 20 mins
Filling
3 tblsp apricot jam ring of 1 orange hear gently to blend
spread on cooked base then cover with dark cooking chocolate (if you add a drop of oil to melted chocolate should stop the top cracking when you cut into it)

Just had a bit of a surprise.......I don't claim tax credits - I lost complete faith in them when they sent me a letter a few years ago saying they were stopping my payments because my children were no longer living with me. They were apparently living with my husband and his "new partner" down on the south coast........needless to say, this was news to both me and OH.........
Anyway, today, I log into online banking and tax credits have paid me over £3500.........:rotfl:
Why, Lord only knows.......and of course they are sure to ask for it back.......because I am darned sure it is not mine. But in the meantime, my bank balance looks rather respectableSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. !!! !!!!!!???? Great! Even the interest on £3500 is respectable! Even at 5% its £3.30 a week - open a cash isa, quick! Through quidco, of course.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

The best Jaffa cakes I ever had was when I visited the Mcvities factory in London (family member worked there) we were allowed a jaffa cake that hadn't had the chocolate put on yet and the orange was still warm. Heaven!
Hope the tax credits money turns out to be for keeps xx0 -

I would check this one out and quickly Hypno! If it IS correct then that is a fair few boxes coloured in overnight!
This reminds me though of when my family moved from the North East to Cheshire - according to the Child Allowance people Mum was dead, my sister didn't exist and I (at age 13) was married to my father :D:eek::rotfl:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

How amazing about the tax credits. Let's hope it turns out it really is your money. Perhaps someone noticed they messed up and they've paid you for all those years since your husband 'left'.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
