they are not extra payments though, just regular monthly loan payments. I see from Quidco that there is £48 due to me next week so hopefully I can pay that off HSBC as an extra straight away.

But it's still money towards your £20k total and brings your debt down.

I know, I think I just get more satisfaction from making those "extra" payments rather than my "obligatory" payments :o

Mind you, it did give me a nice number of boxes to colour in this morning :D

I think I have to put my thinking cap on to try and keep up with your debt busting Hypno - things have slipped recently and I'm not going to hit my target of paying off £10K since LBM. :o Am due back to work on Tuesday having had summer holidays off (work in school) but have to take DS to Swansea tomorrow and back on Monday to take a car load of stuff down to his new lodgings. Am still really angry with my cousin and don;t really know why :o as I didn't see him very often and wasn;t close to him. Have had to have root canal treament this week so at least the pain in my jaw has subsided :rotfl: Anyway will be back Tuesday as won;t have nay internet access whilst away - No doubt your debt will be even lower by then Hypno !!!!!

Surfbabe, I think anger is a very "normal" emotion to feel in these circumstances. Not necessarily because you were close to him, but because you care for other members of the family who will be hurting more, perhaps?

Glad that the toothache has eased a bit - one day, pharmaceutical companies will develop a painkiller that will ease the pain of toothache - none of the ones on the market seem to make any difference when you have real toothache, in my experience!

I hope you have a safe journey over to swansea.......I don't think any more debt will be gone by the time you return on Tuesday.

There are painkillers that work for toothache, but the definitely aren't the over the counter variety! Mine knocked me clear out

Nearly down to the next £k already! :T
