Hi Bindiboo,
I'm pleased all went well with the home visit - can you tell me what's involved exactly please? My gorgeous 17-year-old cat died last year and I'm feeling ready for a new cat (or two - this thread has pretty much persuaded me!). I've owned cats all my life so I know what I'm doing with them, but have never got one through the rescue channels and don't really know what to expect. Presumably they're just checking that you don't live in a hovel on the 20th floor with 10 rottweilers? Thanks in advance!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
hiya,
all the woman did was fill in a questionaire and asked me questions like
where is the nearest main road, would we be keeping the cat in at nights, any children under 5, did I know where my local vet was, would I be getting it neutered etc etc...she also checked that I had a garden... took about 10 mins and then she gave loads of leaflets and gave me directions to the rescue centre.............could have done with the address as it was not on any of the leaflets but will get that if they ring me to tell me that they have had any more kittens in./0 -
Thanks Bindi,
Feel a bit less anxious about that part of the process now! Good luck with the kitten-acquiring, they're so gorgeous!!

I got a kitten for free in November? I think, haha, I do wish i could of gotten 2 though, although she has lots of toys etc, she must be bored! It's odd though, she follows my 1year old around all the time, carrys things in its mouth like a dog, chases big wooden blocks, OH and jumps in the bath with you. Very odd cat hahaWin £2008 in 2008 no #49 £601.91/£2008

The thing with the RSPCA and CPL is breeding season. Most non pure bred cats in this country only breed in the warmer months, so there won't be a dramatic influx until the spring unless you wait for the bas*ards that think a cat is fun to get for the kids at christmas, but the first time it has an accident give it to the RSPCA.0
