go to RSPCA! Got ours from there for £65 but that incuded neuturing, 1st round of injections and microchipping-actually worked out cheaper than elsewhere!

look like normal cats to mee, no specific breed but I may be wrong, I've had lots of cats and dont think males are any different to females, all have own personalities, 2 is definately better than one, and males generally dont spray if you get them neutered, or at least mine never have

OP, I'd definitely advise getting your kitten from reputable sources such as the RSPCA, the Cats Protection League or a rehoming/rescue centre. At this time of year, there are a lot of unscrupulous dealers/breeders out to make a fast buck out of the cuteness factor heightened by pleading children with big eyes - my friend told me her local paper has kittens from £30! There are also some people who don't give enough thought to what looking after a pet entails (not saying you're like that ) - people who love the cute face & playfulness, but quickly create merry hell & want rid when said cutie claws the leather couch or does a wee on their expensive carpet. I went past a pet shop a couple of weeks ago that had kittens for sale from £125-150, & when I spoke to the man he said he'd had an increase in calls since early October. He said the prices go up from October to end December, so it looks like Christmas is a factor.

I'm aching for a cat myself, but I'm deliberately waiting until January or February, when the Christmas buying & selling is out of the way.
