02 broadband... good or bad? Please advise!

Options
Hi,

I already have an O2 mobile, and am currently looking for broadband. I recently had a BT phone line connected for this. I noticed that O2 do a really good deal at the moment, but I've not heard anything about the service they provide. Is it technically ok, do they have problems where you keep losing connection etc? Good value for money and customer service? Which speed should I go for?

I've been with O2 for my mobile for years and have always been very happy with them, but broadband is a whole new world for me!! I'm not very clued up on the potential problems and what to look out for.

Also, today is the last day of their offer to get a 50 day money back guarantee, so I'd quite like to order it today. If anyone can give me their thoughts ASAP I'd be extremely appreciative.

Thanks very much!

    MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I've been with O2 for a month or so now, after moving from virgin media, and haven't had any problems. Customer services have been really good on the one time I used them when setting up my connection on day one. Speed is faster then virgin and costs less than virgin

I went to O2 bb when I bought my new place in March, because
    a) I'd had O2 mobile for years
    b) They had 100 days moneyback
    c) O2 is a rebrand of BE Internet, one of the highest rated ISP's in the UK

Brilliant speeds, easy setup, had one issue with a 'sticky' router (firmware locked up) but had it resolved within 20 minutes of phoning their support.

I'm sticking with them, after the rubbish service I've had from 5 other ISPs that I've been with.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

Plus with a 100 day money back guarantee - you can't go wrong.

Been with o2 since they started in November due to just taking out a mobile contract and needing a new broadband supplier.

Install easy, talked thru by customer serviced in UK and a freephone number a big plus

    Speed good

Initial teething problems with line but handled briliantly by customer services. To me its how they hadle the problem and it was resolved quickly and well.

Has been down three times since November for about an hour each time. Not bad in 9 months

Would highly recommend on price and service. Am now thinking of taking out mobile broadband as well
