I am currently have wireless internet with Sky using their Netgear router. I am changing over to Supanet but the offer doesn't include a wireless router. Can I use my old sky router?

Hi,
As far as i know Sky have hacked the firmware in the netgear routers so it can only be used with them. This is the case with my router but ive been with them for over 2 years now so tcould say if they are still doing that.0 -

But I can just buy one of ebay and it will work ok

As long as it's not locked to the isp that originally supplied it.0

You could use the sky router if you update the firmware to the newest one from Netgear/ Sagem, once you do that it over writes the information put in by Sky.0
