We always get parcels delivered to boyfriend's workplace, otherwise they would have to be left outside our house. Much safer.0

I live in a place like that, but nothing's gone missing that I know about. It is annoying that I get a card saying there's a parcel as the delivery office is only open 8.30-1.30 Mon-Sat. Meaning it's yet another thing that can only be done on a Saturday morning for hard working people. And delivery offices are rarely near where you work. They only keep it a week.
A week isn't long enough if you have to go away. Crazy system.
I don't know what to suggest. If you owned the flat I'd suggest having a secure mail drop box fitted to the wall. Really this is an issue for everybody, you can't be the only one with a problem. Write to all the others and ask them what they've tried/thought of etc0 -
Hi
Thanx again for your replies.
I will post a note on the wall to everyone that lives there.
Its crazy that there isnt an individual post box & we dont live in one of the safest parts of London either.
I usually get my parcels delivered at work, but Im off at the mo. I dont get bank statements or utility bills posted there though, but I will look into getting them for online. Does anyone know whether it matters that they are online statements or posted ones when you need to show a piece of evidence e.g when opening up a new bank account.
900 pounds a month for 2 bedroom flat without secure mail & recently had cockroaches, I do wonder why Im still in London sometimes.0 -

Hi
Last time I received a Royal Mail card to call at the delivery office there was an option to phone them and then they will send your mail to the local post office ,for your collection, for 50p. This is just for "one off" recorded del items. Don't know if this is still done.
