Pitty my car doesnt like Morrisons Fuel !!

BP Fuel lasts longer as its better quality, the reason the supermarkets can drop the prices so much is because they buy whats left at the bottom of the barrel becasue its cheaper and it isnt as good as the what BP use.

Psst that's a old wives tale or do they also get the bottom the barrel for their cheap tomato sauce as well:rotfl:

psssttt, i actually notice the difference myself, and a few others have noticed aswell that i have mentioned it too.
  • how can you tell the difference? surely it gets you from AtoB no matter where its from?
i personally wont use bp anymore unless its an emergency because i hate being ripped off, there is a reason they put their fuel price boards right out of view of the road and the prices right at the bottom of the huge board SO NO ONE CAN SEE HOW EXPENSIVE THEY ARE :rotfl:

i went to tescos yesterday while i was waiting for my daughter to finish acro and it was £108.9 per litre for unleaded, thats the cheapest its been here in a long long time, shame i didn't get paid till today so could only put £20 in, just my luck that it would of gone right back up today

Er no the fuel you buy in ANY of your local garages is delivered from the same refinery/distibution centre local to you.
BP does not own Any Uk refineries, so in theory there is no such thing as BP "made" petrol. They sold the last Feb 22007. Coryton (London) is now owned by a Swiss firm and Grangemouth, is run by refinery operator Ineos. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2007/feb/01/oilandpetrol.news
The only difference in the fuel is in any additives the tanker drivers add when filling up, afaik the supermarkets do not put in the additves to keep the price down.

Its easy to notice the difference when you are using more than a tank of fuel a week, i put a full tank in every monday morning, if i use BP i dont need to top up until saturday, if i use Morrisons i need to top up friday morning. so thats a good extra 40 plus miles i am getting from using BP.

As for the quality, when was the last time BP, Shell and Esso sold contaminated petrol which affected over 10,000 engines ???
