What version of Excel are you on? Underneath my toolbar (with all the cut/copy/font/formatting type stuff on it), I have a white bit, and at the left it says the name of the field (so it's on A1 at the moment), and then there's a little blue bit next to that that says 'fx' - that blue bit can be slid left or right to make the field that shows the text bigger or smaller.
Not sure if yours is the same, but you haven't got it pushed right over to the right have you?
Sorry if that doesn't make any sense!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
If not, if you go onto 'view', do you have options to 'view/hide' different toolbars? Make sure your 'formula bar' is ticked."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

You see standard and formatting , they are toolbars...
try again... view, you may need to extend the menu down... and you should see formula bar and status bar there... don't go into toolbars, that's a click too farI'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
