bt modem losing connection

Hi,does anyone know if when using a bt phone line,with a bt broadband net connection,which keeps losing connection for 30mins at a time would be helped by changing to a different service provider but still using the bt phone line to connect ? Or would it make little difference as it would still be coming through the btline phoneline?

It a bit of a remote location and using net with a usb mobile modem has been looked into but apparently there is no 3g signal available at the moment in the area,

Any ideas what would be best option for person to have a reliable connection?

Raise a fault with BT Broadband asap so they can run their tests. Raise it as an unstable connection. It could be that the speed profile that you're set to is too high for what your line can handle hence the regular loss in connection.

Thanks,i'll get them to try that,its not for me,person has already rang bt numerous times and is just getting frustrated now by repeatedly being disconnected
