Can't Access Scothish Power to change to capped rate

Hi there,
Is anyone else having problems accesing Scottish Power? We can't login and because of this we can't change over to a capped rate. If anyone has any similar experience or advice I'd love to hear it.

I have been trying for the last three hours, no luck. They must be swamped!

I have managed to get in, but you have to refresh each page when it fails to load (but wait 5 mins or so first)

I am currently working out if it is better to go with or without the No Standing Charge option ... anyone?

[edit: I am currently a Scottish Power customer, so that might make it easier for me, but the site is sloooooooooow]

The sites been down all night, takes about 10 refreshes on each stage.

It's not giving me a capped rate option anymore so I assume it's now over

NSC and standing charge effectively cost the same, unless you have tiny usage. There's no point anyone opting for standing charge, therefore.

Just managed to get to the capped rate (10:40pm).
Website has just speeded up - taken about 2 hours to do.

I was a current customer, so that may make it easier for me

I have just managed to sign up too. Just keep refreshing the site and you will eventually get there. Good luck!

Managed to get onto the change my service option and select the "Fixed Price Energy" option.

Waiting for the next page to load...sloooowwwlllyyy...

You need patience... dont hit reload unless you get an error, just wait!!

and..it crashed. Back to the login screen!!! Arrrrgh!!!

I just tried turning off the images in the browser (as suggested on another thread) to see it that helps load it quicker.

It has been four hours -I wonder if this is really worth it considering the amount of electricity I have wasted this evening on the computer hehe
