Topshop student discount question...
Comments
-
I have always found Topshop are very good about the student discount, hence I shop there first! They accept most forms of student ID and best of all, they let you use your 10% off on sale items too!
Awesome if you ask me! (I can't afford clothes at full price).
Personally, I don't understand why people get funny about having an NUS card. Any student ID should suffice.0 -

As an employee, I can tell you that we need to see a card with your college/uni name and an expiry date. It doesn't necessarily have to be an NUS card. Any other card without this info will most likely be declined. Get a friend with a valid card to come with you if you don't have the right card, most will let you use a friends card.0

I have a card withj my College name and my photo and it says Student 2007/2008 ( I couldn't have gotten the 2008/09 yet as they're not issued until September), so if I bought stuff next week, would you take it?
Thanks for everyones help!0 -
I would take it, probably till the end of september. If it said 07/08 then had an additional expiry date of 30/06/2008 or something, then i wouldn't.0

My University wasn't in the NUS, but I've used the University card they issue instead of it, which we have to pay for as well! Been accepted fine in most places, but can't use it online because I don't have an NUS number, obviously.0

i've never had a problem using university's own id card, even in my home (non-university) town. they do always check the date though (and look at my hideously embarrassing picture)
you do have to have an nus to get discount when shopping online though, not sure whether you can just use a friend's or whether they'd cross-reference it with your other details??
have noticed other shops starting to insist on an nus (la senza for example), just hope topshop doesn't start!!0 -
