Vodafone Credit Check

Hi, i ordered a Samsung Tocco on Vodafone via Quidco this morning, and recieved an email confirming my order and saying they would run a credit check and email me with the results and my delivery time (subject to clearing the credit check). This was at 11.30am and i've heard nothing since from Vodafone and wondered if anyone knew roughly how long credit checks take to run? Also, will my Quidco cashback be affected if i ring VF to find out what's going on? The cashback hasn't started to track yet, which i presume won't happen until i get the credit check results.

I ordered a sim only deal last night with Vodafone & received the same email straightaway then I had another email 20 mins later to say my credit check was completed & fine.

Same here. Ordered sim only deal through quidco tonite at 8pm. Got receipt of order, awaiting credit check blah blah. This was 8pm. Now 1015pm no 2nd email. Hope all is ok, or just a delay Vodafones end.

i put a thread into the vodafone forum, and was told by one of the vodafone team on there that it can take up to 24 hours from the point of ordering for the credit check to be conducted, so you should hear by tomorrow evening. fingers crossed. has it tracked on quidco yet?0 -
No just checked and not tracked on quidco. Maybe waiting for credit check?????

well good news, i've just this minute recieved an email from vodafone saying i cleared the credit check and they're going to email me when my order is ready for dispatchhurrah! it's also tracked on quidco. hopefully you should hear today then.

oh no! vodafone just phoned me and said the handset was out of stock from the website but they've manually ordered it on my behalf so i'm not waiting for the handset. my cashback was tracked, but will i miss out on the cashback now? i don't really know what to do :S0

Don't know why they would do this.
What did they mean by "manually ordered it"?
Quidco say the transaction must be completed "wholly online", and by this ruse, voda may be getting out of paying out the commission.
Maybe you might want to cancel and start again.0 -

Well they said the website had separate stocks to them, so they'd ordered one from their stocks... I've had all my order confirmations up to the one where they said they'd be in contact to arrange delivery.0 -
This looks like they are saying they have changed your order from an online purchase to a mail order shop purchase (ie a telephone order).
This could well mean the quidco transaction will get rejected as the original web order will be shown as a cancellation.0 -

i just rung the number on the website regarding online orders, and the man i spoke to said that they had no stock issues. He even phoned their warehouse to double check for me, and he said they had more than surplus stock, otherwise i'd have been emailed at the point of ordering to say the phone was out of stock.
He said i shouldn't have been phoned, and i might recieve two phones now. He was really puzzled about who had phoned me and their intentions. There was no record of the call i received from them on my file.
I told him i needed to do the order wholly online for a specific reason, and he said there's no problem, the online order is still processing and i just need to wait for my despatch email from them.
I might end up with two phones but at least my online order is still going through so hopefully no cashback problems.
I'm thinking VF phone sales have told me that the online phone was out of stock just to get themselves a sale? Cheeky blighters!0
