Click 5 Elecric British Gas?

hope someone can help to tell me what the new % price increse will be for electicity only customers on the click 5 tarrif?

Click energy five isn't effected by todays announcment. It is likely that there will be an announcment shortly though.

I'm in Swalec region and found out the gas prices they will be

8.05/3.38

But with Electric i cannot find the old price of Tier 1 pretty sure it was 13.411/9.557 so this would be 14.617/10.417

So with the old prices of the Fixed 09 tariff they were

Elec - 22.560/12.003
Gas - 6.754/2.883

So unless you use loads of Gas you should still be better off with Click 5.

Edit - Did not know Click 5 was not included.

New prices are slightly wrong, love.

TIER 2: 3.757p inc. VAT per unit

ELEC SWALEC REGION
TIER 1: 22.913p inc. VAT per unit
TIER 2: 12.818p inc. VAT per unit.

Can't remember the old prices, except that gas was 6.458p inc. VAT across the board.

Elec
13.633 first 225kw in 90 days
7.979 thereafter
3.307 Economy 7 night time
Gas
3.616 first 1143 kw
2.567 thereafter

With the old BG prices, Gas tier 1 works out at roughly the same as Gas tier 1 on Scottish Power... the threshold for BG is 670 kWh and the threshold for SP is 1143 kWh. Appears cheaper, isn't really.

AND Scottish Power haven't put their prices up... yet. If that's not capped, it will go up.

When you took out Click Energy 5 you made a great decision – you're benefiting from our cheapest available online dual-fuel tariff*, and because we've only just introduced this market-beating tariff we're going to hold off any price increases for as long as we can. There's no need to do anything, we'll contact you to let you know your new prices should they change.

I too noticed that Click 5 energy prices haven't been affected.

I am Click 4, and my estimation for my years usage would be ;

Click 4 : £595 or Click 5 : £605 , so was best for me to remain on Click 4.

Now it appears that my Click 4 usage will rise to £745, whilst Click 5 remains at £605 !

I have e-mailed BG regarding the Click 5 Prices, but havn't had a response.

I have also e-mailed BG, as they have not informed me directly (via e-mail/letter) of their price increase.

I am guessing Click 5 will increase its prices within a few weeks, as they probably hoping that its Click 2, 3 & 4 customers will transfer to Click 5 prior to a price increase.

Still have not been informed by BG that they have increased their prices for BG Click 4 Energy, I have now received my first Bills since the Increase.

Yep, as from end July, I have been charged at the new rates.

What I cannot understand is:

Gas Bill - I was still in credit after billing, and BG has increased my Direct Debit payments by £5.00

however....

Electric Bill - I still owed money after billing, yet BG has NOT increased my Direct Debit !

Not sure how BG works out Direct Debit payments, but I was expecting my Gas to increase by at least £8 and Electric by at least £6.

I am thinking to move to Click 5, as these prices seem to not have increased ! - or maybe just an error on BG website.
