I am in a similar position with NTL. They owe me £75. They admit they owe me this money, yet will not repay it. I have spoken to their dreadful customer services people several times - and each time they promise me that I will receive a cheque "shortly", but that it needs to go to a supervisor/team leader for authorisation. Nothing happens, of course. Every time, I get the same old story - and I get this after being kept on hold listening to cheesy music for an hour or so. This has been going on now for 7 months.
I have also tried writing to their CEO, Simon Duffy. He couldn't even be bothered to reply.
I even have it in writing from NTL (via email) that they are going to send me my money "shortly". Of course, nothing appears.
How many others are in this position, with NTL refusing to return money that they shouldn't have taken in the first place? How much of their customer's money have they grabbed, with a view to keeping - even though it's not theirs? Surely this is illegal? If it's not, it should be!!
If this message stops just one person from signing up with NTL, then I will be happy. If it stops more, then my day would be complete!!
