didn't get so far as the monkeys, broke down by the rhinos and had to sit there eating our lunch whilst we waiting for the car to cool down!!

thanks everyone, my o/h rang just one scrap dealer up who said they would give us £80 but cause its a non-runner £50 so quite pleased!

Keep calling around a few more places. They'll want it and will offer more money if you can persuade them. To them it's full of parts to sell on and scrap metal to melt down, worth lots in other words.

Don't freecycle it. Some people will probably have autoresponders setup and you'll get about 100 e-mails in seconds - and all of them will happily take it away for nothing and just scrap it. I am sure the money is better in your hands than that of the greedy losers that trawl freecycle (who have no intention of using the car as a car).

Yes I will do, thanks. Cars been down the drive for 2 years so not in a huge rush!!!
