    Hello
If you do a search on the forum for lovefilm you should find quite a few thread about lovefilm, including horror stories of fee trial cancellation etc... (personally never had a problem though)

I had some hassle cancelling, it took a couple of 15+ minute phone calls (from work!), but kept on at them and got 3more 'trial' months free out of them and then cancelled ;):) they still pester via email/post but I just ignore it...

The above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!

I just learnt, by reading some other posts on the forum last week about lovefilm, that if you cancel late (not sure from when but let's say 10pm) - you can cancel online! (versus being given a phone number to call).

didn't know that last time, I'm going to try this time, when I soon finish my 3months trial :( )

I've had several 90 day trials with lovefilm and have had no complaints at all re cancellation. The phone call at the end is a bit long winded when you try and cancel but they are trying to make money at the end of the day and they are no worse than sky when you alter their package! I'd say do it - it is a great freebie

Keep in mind that you have to have all your dvds back by the last day of your trial or they will charge you for the next month.
You can make sure that you don't get sent out any new ones when you're just about to cancel by making sure you have less than 10 things in your list (I think) or by deleting your list.

I just signed up to a free 3 month trial and am now kicking myself as if my brother had introdced me (1 month trial) and I had paid for three months he could have got free a sat nav or ipod shuffle. (which is worth doing for the satnav I think. 3 x 12.99 as you'd do well to find satnav under £40.

It can be done completely online and I've had 2 free trails with them and never had any problems cancelling with LoveFilm
  • How have you guys managed to have so many free trials? it only let me do 1 and now it recognises me as a returning customer

Think I'm on my 3rd trial! :D Each time I cancel, and then they get in touch after a month or two with another offer. You need to wait for them to contact you, I think.....
  • My advise is send your dvds back at least a week before your 3 month trial ends (get proof of posting from the postoffice). Delete your film list online on the day you send them back. Wait until they say that you have no dvd's at home (e.g. they have received yours back). Then cancel online (I managed to do mine today at 10am online - but sometimes you have to wait until after 10pm at night). They you check that you get a confirmation email.

Follow this and you should be fine
