Tesco Clubcard plus

in Shop but don't drop
26 replies 4.6K views
Hi, :hello:
Ive just got my first clubcard plus card and have set up a Direct Debit for my monthly shop amount to go directly onto the card and hopefully will be sticking to the budget I set. But if need be it can be topped up at the customer service counter or on line at Tesco.com/finance

Tel: 08457104010 if you would like to try a clubcard plus card.

I cant wait to start collecting my double points and saving for a much needed holiday by converting clubcard points to deals for 4 times their value.

I have been currently receiving £88 per year in clubcard vouchers and just used these to get money of my shopping but by my reckoning I will now be getting double points that's £176 for spending the same amount as I usually spend per year. And if I convert them to Deals then I will get another 4X £176 = £704 back.

Can that be right???

Another question to those who already use a clubcard plus card... are you allowed to first give the Sales Assistant a normal clubcard (my OH's) to swipe which is not linked to the clubcard plus account before paying with my clubcard plus. And if so, will I then get points on both my OH ordinary clubcard and double points on my own clubcard plus card.

I feel soooo guilty just asking. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi almar,

You should get more help with this on the Shop but Don't Drop board so I'll move your thread over there.

Answer to 1st question is yes £704.00 in deals is correct. Secondly you just use your Clubcard Plus and get double points. You cannot use 2 different clubcard on the same transactions. I have my card for about 1 year and only have a nominal £10.00 monthly DD. I then pay into the card at Customer Services as and when I need to. Thereby keeping my money in my account as long as possible. Enjoy!!

Thanks for your response. I will reduce my DD to £50 per month and top my card up when I need to. Thereby gaining extra interest on my savings.

Ive never saved anything in my life before, my family can't believe the change in me. Ive even set up a SO for £110 in the Natwest savings e-account offer, with £50 cashback.

Not to mention the savings i'm making with Tesco voucher codes every week.

I cant wait to spend my Tesco deals on a holiday, meals out, Rac membership, magazine subscription, dry cleaning etc etc etc

Turning £88 of vouchers into £704 per year is absolutely fantastic.

Thank you so much to all who advised on Tesco Clubcard plus, Deals, Voucher Codes and The Natwest e-savings account. And there are still thousands of posts to read. Brilliant.

I have had a CC+ for a while now. The operator always swipes my card first before they put my shopping through. The only problem I find, is that on the bottom of my receipt, sometimes it says 'TPF points' and sometimes it doesn't. Does this mean that if TPF is not on the bottom I have not received double points? I hope this makes sense, as if I am not getting my double points I will need to five them a call as I have quite a lot missing.
    Thanks for any help.

Hi, would you be able to top up your tesco clubcard plus account with a credit card?
Would this be a cash advance?
With the tesco credit card you can get double points if paying with it, would that mean you could get double points and double points from clubcard plus and the credit card?

I've ordered a CC+ but I have a couple of questions - can someone help?

If your shopping comes to more than you have on your card, can you just pay the balance in cash, and what happens to the points then?

Do you get double for whats on the CC+ and single for the cash, or do you just get single on all your shopping?

Not to bothered bout the points but just want to make sure I can top up at the checkout if I've overspent:o

So you spend £170 per week in tesco or are some bonus points?

If you go slightly over the transaction will go through, or you can pay cash first and the balance via your plus card. But I always have another method of payment with me just in case.

Regarding topping up, I usually know what my shopping will come to - pay it in at customer services - walk around doing my shopping and pay at the checkout.

I don't have a direct debit set up and really just pay in at customer services but then I've had this card since it first came out.
