I am EDF Online v1. Yes v1 - we have been with them for 7 years I think. Should we cap or ride out the wave?? We pay £35 per month for electricity and £55 per month for gas. Any advice would be appreciated.

Any idea what your current rates are? Let me know, and I'll see what I can do, though am going offline now til tomorrow afternoon.

We're with EDF and frankly, its getting so one supplier is the same as the next for rates. I'm wondering if its worth switching yet again and if I might be better off calling EDF and challenging them to make me an offer. So to speak.

We're emigrating early in the new year, so my goal is to try to keep costs down as much as possible until the Spring.

Here are the new rates for v1. Very hard to get hold of and I was given the wrong rates a few times.

This is for the Yorkshire area, inc VAT

    Gas
    First 5.565
    Last 3.209
    Threshold is 5860 kwh annually

    Elec
    First 17.12
    Last 9.84
    Threshold is 900 kwh annually

    I'm thinking similar actually.
I'm with EDF. Have been too busy withother things in life to be paying attention to the fact that I should have capped it a few weeks ago, and now I'm in a conundrum as to what to do.
What if I change and end up with a different rate that just increases more.

It's all far too confusing for me at the moment.

Can someone answer the question - should I move off version1? I don't want a debate... a yes or no would be nice

I don't think anyone will tell you as v1 is a very old tariff that not many ppl know of any more.

I'm in same situation. On V1 but swiched to BG click energy on sat (when EDF hiked prices). I was feeling quite happy and then I nearly had a heart attack when I heard of BG hike. I can cancel but the tariff I switched to hasn't gone up yet (it will though). So I'm taking the risk of switching and then I'll have to switch again.

I did ring EDF and asked if they would reward my loyalty but they tried to sell me a fixed rate tariff. Hardly a reward!

I'll stick to version 1... if no one is able to help. Ces't la vie.
