I replied saying I only take paypal her response

Hello,
Thanks for the quick response, i want you to aswell understand that as i have stated in my previous mail, that i don't have a paypal account because i have been scammed, a seller asked for my paypal account info, and i gave it to him and he received his money and he did not send out my item so i decide not to use it anymore and i don't want to be a victim anymore, please i want you to understand what i mean, because am really afraid , so i decide to use uk postal order as my prefered payment method, i will arrange for the payment and you will receive it within 3 working days which will be easier for you to cash at a nearby post office, and for the shipping cost, i don't mind paying any amount for it, i will be very grateful if my favour will be granted,if you are okay with it, kindly send me the item and shipping cost to nigeria including your full name and address so i can arrange for the payment. look forward to hear from you.
Thanks.

Is this a scam as she is not asking for bank details?,and I would not post untill postal order received.

Any help gratefully received.

Scam. I have had almost an identical email! They usually send you a cheque for too much money saying its from friend/work and can you send cheque for the difference back. Thats the one I had anyway.

hi, id avise totally against completing this sale, as one of my mates was ripped off for three mobiles from someone doing the same kind of thing using nigeria!!

you can withdraw from completing the transaction! just state to ebay that the the buyer was not compleing the transaction within the normal requirements!

  • Mobile phone + Nigeria + postal order = scam! 100%

Relist and block countries you don't wish to post to or offer to the next bidder as a 2nd chance offer if the bid amount is acceptable.

I know all about not sending to Nigeria and maybe I'm being dumb this evening but if someone pays by postal order and you don't send the item until you have the cash then how can they scam you?

    Like I said before....maybe I'm being dumb but I don't see a problem with postal orders.....least they can't be charged back like paypal.....maybe I'm missing something....

In theory it should be ok. The postal order will be a forgery and should be spotted as such when you try and cash it. But, if it is not spotted straight away, you could end up having to explain your way out of a fraud investigation.
