New Kitchen - Who to use? Kutchenhaus?

Hi,

I am looking to have a new kitchen installed in the next couple of months, my budget is 3-4k and we would like to have it installed (ideally).

I have been looking at moben, but have read a lot of negative things about them on here, I also quite fancy http://www.kutchenhaus.co.uk who seemed ok.

I dont rate B&Q as when the chap came round all he wanted to do was watch the football on tv (cheek). I have always avoided MFI as they were MFI (and install fees seemed high).

Any help would really be appreciated as this is a big purchase for us!?

Thanks in advance to all posters

Ive had some details from Kitchens2go who are at http://www.k2go.co.uk/home.htm. Haven't seen them in the flesh but read an article in Homebuilding & Renovating magazine.

Have you played around with the planner at Kutchenhaus, its fantastic!

Wilks2005, id say try ikea! I'm not sure how their fitting service is but ive heard very good comments about the quality of their units and as for the style - well thats just outta this world! something for every taste!

Im sure you will get a very reasonably priced kitchen (prob under £4k fitted incl appliances) from ikea. They even have their own fitters as well as a nice 10yr guarantee!

https://www.ikea.co.uk (and follow the links for "kitchens" and "built in kitchens")

(this is the link i got on my computer but i think it may be for the nottinham ikea only)
    http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=7&catalogId=10103&langId=-20&topcategoryId=15576&parentCats=15576*15720&cattype=sub&categoryId=15720

Have a fiddle with their planner and c wot u think. have fun! :)

We had Premier Kitchens and they did an excellent job, not sure what area you are in but here is their website http://www.premier-kitchens.co.uk/.
They are more expensive than MFI, B&Q but you do get the quality and we are really pleased with our kitchen.

Thanks for the advice, we ended up ordering from kutchenhaus, and it has been delivered today (bar a few minor hiccups about times).

I wil let you know about the fitting and the end result...........
  • Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if you have any problems they may not be sorted out and you still might be waiting for a finished kitchen 8 months down the line like me.

Their after sales is the most incompetent I have ever encountered and I've not even paid for the kitchen yet but they are too busy with new sales to return calls. I can't tell you the number of times I had to completely empty my kitchen last year and take days of work for nothing. Of course you can't tile or decorate either.

So if anyone is still thinking of going with them good luck I've been dealing with them since october 2005, yes that's 2005 and I'm appoaching solicitors now. Read my full review on the review centre, just google KUTCHENHAUS and it should come up.

I suggest a smaller organisation who a friend recommends.

    Sorry
  • :T the product is the best you can buy for a decent amount of money, if you want slightly better quality you have to pay 20-30k plus which is silly.

Yes when I orderd my kitchen I had an item missing, but its a kitchen a major project these things happen. My advice ignore the previous post, and give Kutchenhaus a look.
  • Hi Just been to the show room in Trafford today, no hard sell and kitchens look fab very different from the other run of the mill kichens we have seen.

Has anyone else had one fited I would be gratful for any information before we decided on what kitchen and supplier

I'd search for "Kutchenhaus reviews" in google and see what comes up. It should give an idea wether they are good or bad.

Last year in Manchester we had the hard sell. An hour to design a kitchen we did not like gave us a detailed cost of £40k which became £8k because of all the discounts we attrcted. Even offered to sell us a further discount if we bought the discount on the day!

Left a bad taste and never went back.

I'm sure I've seen these kitchens in MFI. Very nice too, but I've got a feeling that there were quite a few hiccups when MFI went bust, re supply, processing orders etc.
