Hi Kelly,
if you look at the first page of this thread, you will see a list ofpeople and their area's, and you could contact any of them on here if they are nearby.
If i remember correctly, you are from Essex? in which case maybe Ragz could help you out
Good Luck x0 -
Hey Guys
Lovely bodyshop lady just came to see me, it all seems great, I just have to get my 6 parties booked in to get my kit...excited, but nervous.
Do people get nervous on their first party, is all the attention on you?expecting u to do spectacular things?Or is it quite relaxed?
Hope I can make lots of dosh on the run up to xmas!! x0 -
claire - at the end of the day, remember these people don't know what your supposed to be doing or saying, so if you don't say something or do things in a different order - that doesn't matter coz they don't know!! as you attention on you - depends on the people and the party - but make it as relaxed as you like - do whatever your comfortable with. it is covered in training tho anyways x x0

The reason I ask is quite a lot (not so much now) of people are trying to build their team up by recruiting people from all over the Country which is not a good idea because those recruitees will not benefit from training as the local AM to them would not allow them in on their training as they are not part of their team.
If thats not the case and you signed up another way, does the AM you come under do your area but just lives a way a way? As I know some ladies do have to travel quite a distance for their training.
RE- foundations. I am yet to do a make-over. I do not do a 'themed' party as i want to show everything so i do do that. I have done hand massages etc with the almond collection (which you won't have yet) If your AM is not to far away, borrow some of her stuff, especially the xmas stuff. I would consider using your commision from the first 2-3 parties to build your kit and get some products that are 'essential' like xmas stuff etc as you said your self, how frustrating it was to want to see something that the consultant did'nt have.
Phew that was an essay lol

I joined after attending a party recently. I wasn't aware of how the change of command worked and that I would end up with an AM miles away.
Is one able to change who their manager is to a more local one? What happens if I can't get training?
Also with themed parties, are you taught how to do them? Like make up training, facial training etc?0 -
Each AM does different training from what I know. Some a full day ours does two tuesday nights. Our training covered the paperwork, selling techniques, ice breaker games to use, a hand massage and facial inc make up using the basic kit. It was really helpful. I would contact your Manager and ask what their trainign will involve and where it will be.:j0

My first training was weeks ago and was on the paperwork, make up and facial. am yet to recieve the body training so i havent been able to offer that party type yet but it doesnt seem to be as popular anyway. I tend to just do whatever the ladies on the night want, last party i did a mini facial on one lady, and a mini makeover on two other ladies who dont wear makeup and they bought the lot! Would like to learn the hand massage though.
Last night i did a catalogue drop round a small new build estate, not expecting to get any calls but had a party booked in today from it! Sooo pleased as I was just aiming to put the idea into heads, not expecting a booking! I used the summer catalogues so even though theyre out of date it still works, give it a try anyone who has left over old catalogues and not many bookings! x0 -
Hi all, I see it's got busy here again.
I have been offered a stall at a local Christmas craft and gift market on the 1st of November. It's going to cost me £20 (and I have to provide my own table!)
My AM told me not to pay more than £10, but as it's not charity I wouldn't lose any commission or have to provide a raffle prize so I think I'll be OK.
I was thinking of offering the hand massages for a small fee, to try to make my money back as I am hoping to make bookings rather than sell a lot. Does anyone have any idea how much a reasonable amount to charge would be??
Also, I spoke to my AM about buying some gift sets in to show and she says it's risky as they may not sell. Is 8 weeks before Christmas too soon to be selling the gifts and should I just concentrate on getting bookings?
I will take orders and offer free delivery to anyone who lives in my town, I don't drive so can't deliver elsewhere, or I may offer for them to collect from me for free.
I will mostly be offering the opportunoty to host a party and therefore they will not have to worry about delivery and will hopefully get some of their Christmas gifts free. I'll also be trying to recruit anyone who seems too poor to buy anything! lol
Any advice from someone who has done Christmas fairs would be much appreciated - would love to know how much to charge for treatments and whether it's worth selling a few gift sets.
Many thanks (sorry for the essay)
