Hi all, i have just finished my success start and didnt even get to level 1, so quite disappointed. To top it off i did a party last night in a tiny living room full of people whose attention i just couldnt keep, they were wandering out to smoke, chatting over me and i just gave up in the end. needless to say i didnt get any bookings for parties, although the orders were ok. Does anyone else find it hard talking over people, keeping their attention etc?
Hi hun. I to didn't get to level 1 in my success start but i did get a recruit so got the make-up box and £50 high street vouchers (offer at the time) so don't be to disheartned over that.
I went to a party a few weeks ago that was simila to yours, everyone kept wandering out for fags and food and chatting amonst themselves and i got really sick and felt like screaming at them to be quite! I just said 'Oi girls, shh' and excuse me a few times. I did quite well from that party, one recruit another party and the hotess has booked again for beg of Dec. Just hope it's not the same again!0 -
we found a few people were chatting amongst themselves at the beginning, we just talked louder and more enthusiatically, if we thought they were about to start talking again we would wonder over to the talkers, and pass them a body butter (or whatever your up to) and say smell this its gorge! lol
we really tried to sell every product that we had, and it paid off :-) it was a fantastic night!
we also got a fundraiser booked in now, at a big pub in a posh area!!! cant wait for that!
so chin up girls - things can only get better x ..... D:Ream x0 -
Well done to all the winners of the ideas, certainly inspired me!!!
Becci, I remember when I did TBSAH the first time round, keeping peoples attention was one of the hardest things, however I think I might find that side of it a bit easier this time (Put my big gob to use lol). The only thing I can suggest is when that happens if you feel confident enought to take back the control just in a joking kind of way "excuse me ladies, I didn't sit up till all hours, studying these products and writing this script for nothing you know", "oy you lot shut up a minute till I am done":rotfl: alternatively how about when it happens just go silent yourself someone is bound to notice and help you out by telling them to be quiet and then you can just say "thanks shall we move on then".

Thanks for your ideas, i guess this is part of the reason i signed up in the first place, wanting to force myself to be more assertive and confident! I will give it a go.0

Hi,
I have a lady coming round to talk to me on Thurs Am about starting.
What can I expect from this? Do you think I will be convinced to sign up straight away. Am I right that the cost is £95 to start? but then do you have to reach a certain amount of sales before you can give it in if it is not working out?
I am 24 and concerned people may not take me seriously
How old are all you consultants if you dont mind me asking0 -

We are 23/24 - course people will take you seriously, dont worry about that!
we have only just started out really but we love it and we are doing well so far :-)
It costs 95 for the kit, which is worth it because its worth over 550, only catch involves is you have to get 6 party bookings with 6 weeks and do over 425 sales, after that you do what you want when you want!
im pretty sure you'll be convinced on your visit to sign up, its just a fantastic oppurtunity to join up and you have nothing to lose!
where about are you from?0 -
Im 26 but theres girls in my team who are 17 and 18 and the 18 year old is more often than not our top seller. Everything in the bodyshop revolves around £425 thats the criteria for the AM's to get paid and to be classed as a qualifying consultant, and it is an easily reachable target.
It is £95 to join up but with the xmas bolt on its worh over £600 and it's yours to keep whatever you decide to do, but i can whole heartedly say that you will love it and will not want to give it up.

Claire I am only 22, i guess if you learn all you can, so you know what you are talking about, be confident and enthusiastic, people will respect you just as much as an older consultant! Trust me you will want to join, its worth the inital payout as you will most likely break even after your first two parties, and then its just hard not to spend your profits on more of the lovely products!
Hezza could you please put me on the list? I am Becci and i do parties in Somerset and Dorset0 -
Claire, I'm 23 and I worried that people wouldn't take me seriously but there's a girl on my team younger than me about to be promoted out to AM so just shows age matters less in this job! Good luck and hope you join!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

I'm 24 and I've never had any trouble with people respecting me as a consultant. I do feel that with a bit more life experience that I'd be better at keeping people's attention etc but that will come with party experience anyway. I've done really well and got success start 1 and 2 and my make-up box (if one of my ladies does her £425) and even a sat nav if both my ladies do £600 by the end of Oct. I'm only saying that to point out that I'm the same age as you Claire and don't feel that it's holding me back!0
