    Hi

How long have you been doing Body Shop parties? You could always ask the Manager at your local Body Shop store if you could go in and promote yourself, perhaps pick up some parties in store. The only reason I ask how long you have been doing it, is I believe you need to have done £425 in sales before you can promote yourself in the shops. I could be wrong. Let your area manager know you are really struggling and you might be given a few leads. Contact all your old hostesses, offer friends the opportunity to win the hostess rewards if they come to a party at your house. Offer friends an extra incentive for hosting a party, perhaps bottle of Wine/Chocolates.

I know how you feel though, sometimes you feel as if you want to give up. We all have slow times. In my case it is my own fault as I don't pick the phone up enough!! Anyway, let us know how you get on. One of the girls on our team had £3800 in sales last month!! Makes you realise sales are out there. :rotfl:
  • Hi all,

Well I've been working my !!!! off to put it bluntly. Had my friend confirm a party only to pull out because she's put her house on the market! I have one of my friends at work who's doing a party in a bag for me and yesterday thanks to my amazing manager I booked a christmas fair for a local school which I'm really chuffed about as I'm hoping to get at least 5 parties booked from it! I need some sort of miracle at the moment.

I speak to people and they get all enthusiastic before the excuses come out. Even suggesting party in bags seems to fall on deaf ears. I actually thought about giving it all up last week. I can't keep calling the same people as obviously they aren't interested but thankfully I haven't quit yet but I seem to be putting a lot into it.

Hope all you ladies are doing okay! x

I'm the same as you and like you have a xmas fair at a local business in 2 weeks time and hope to get orders and party bookings......I really love doing BSAH but struggle with increasing customers! Last year wasn't too bad but am struggling to get new bookings.

Stupid question but whats party in the bag?
  • Had my two kit bags stolen from the boot of my car!!
    Unbelievable!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Still, not going to give up.

Basically a party in a bag is where you have a bag of catalogues and order forms, with some samples and if you chose to a little incentive and you give it to friends who don't want a party at home, they give catalogues to their friends and get orders that way. You can do neighbours, friends, family, pre-school parents, school parents, church group. Its an extremely good way at getting orders with people who for whatever reason don't want a party in their home.

Sorry to hear that! That's shocking! Can it be replaced?

    Hi Gemma

I think you might be in my area. Who is your Manager? Mine is Jan James. Your welcome to get in touch. There are a few of us around here and we keep each other going.

    Cheers

It is great to read how you are all going. I have been really slack of late & reading your posts makes me more motivated. I need to pick up the phone.

What kind of responses have you ladies been getting when phoning previous hostesses? I have had 2 cancellations in the last couple of weeks. I am hoping things will get better. I am going along to watch the new 'taste of the Body Shop Training on Sunday'. Hopefully that will get me motivated.

Fiona, having your kit stolen is dreadful? Can you claim it on your Insurance perhaps?

    Anyway, good luck everyone.

Gemma, our School have a fair on the 4th December & I can't do it. I am not sure if you are doing it already as I did tell them to offer it to another Consultant. Let me know if your interested.

    Hi

Are you going to the Regional Meeting? I am going to the one in Cobham, well I presume it's in Cobham, have'nt read my e-mail as yet, whether it is in Datchet or Cobham.

If you are we should meet up, I would love to meet some of you. It is good to get tips from one another. I need to go to the meeting as I need a kick to get myself motivated. I am dreadful this year!!
