    Hi

First I appologise if this is the wrong place to ask, I do not work for Body Shop At Home.

I have a question though about the scheme, how do people order? Are there catalogues or is it see, try, buy at parties?

I am asking as I am considering giving it a go but can't host the party myself at home, (sounds pointless looking into it then I know), but I was hoping there would be catalogues I might be able to distribute amongst friends, family and collegues etc and collect them in on a regular basis and place orders, a bit like (dare I mention the word) Avon, which we already have a rep for in our area, I often order from her and she lives up my road so doorstep is local area. Sorry if I offended anyone!

I just think Body Shop would be a fresh idea round here and could work well.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi

You generally don't host the parties in your own home unless you are the host and getting the host offers. There are catalogues and you receive a host kit upon joining with £100's of stock to demo at parties.

You can like the Avon reps distribute catalogues in the office to get sales AND still find hosts willing to have parties at home. The products are great and sell themselves and you can earn and win great stuff. :rotfl:

You get discount on products and earn a % of your sales. At the front of the thread is where all of the consultants are based - find one in your area and they'd be happy to give you more info.:T

    Hope this helps x

    Hi Crisp,
I don't know where you live but I live in Bridgend area in Wales :)
You can do Body Shop distributing catalogues around your neighbourhood - I have a couple of Avon reps round here and we get on great! You can also give catalogues to friends, family, work collegues, etc, etc. Parties can be held in hostesses houses - normally friends and family to start you off :)
Cuggle is right - the products really do sell themselves :)
Hope this helps hun and hopefully welcome aboard :)

    Hello all!

I'm thinking about joining up to do BSAH but I just wanted to know if any existing consultants found it difficult to sell products in the current climate?
I'm fairly confident that I'd be able to arrange the parties, (thanks to a large extended family!) but if people aren't spending, is it really worth it?

I have been on the brink of giving up since xmas and have only done 1 party this year but have done some catalogue drops round work and friends and got orders that way. there are a lot of products cheaper in the shops at the moment and online so I am finding it hard to motivate people to spend just now.

    Hiya Vickylee!
I have been a consultant for 3 weeks now and im loving every minute of it, im always looking forward to the next party!

From my experience from the parties ive had this week, i have had good sales and 2 bookings from every party. Some people have even shown up intending not to spend a penny but one lady spent £40 after playing with some of the summer makeup. people find it hard to resist once they have tried the products. i always sell products from my demos too as they can see the results.

Where abouts are you? you could always come along to one of my parties and see it in action? or join up as part of my team? :)

I try to make them fun with a few games with samples as prizes, i offer a pamper pack for people who spend over £35 (this has been effective coz people love a freebie!) and i have got 2 bookings every party this week with a pretty host pack with an incentive or 2. i love it! and im sure u will to! my next parties tomoro and i cant wait! xx

    Hi Ladies,

I've been thinking about becoming a consultant for a while, as I need to boost my income a little as all our money goes on bills and essentials. I've been researching this for a while and have been reading all the posts on this forum (I had a lot of time).

I contacted The Body Shop through their website about becoming a consultant but I haven't heard anything and I wonder how long it took for someone to get back to you? A few weeks before that I contacted them about hosting a party and heard nothing so wondered whether the internet form doesn't work, even though I got an email confirming my query.

I'm based in Hampshire in the Petersfield area if anyone knows anyone in the area.

    Thanks

    Gemma

    Hello
Just wanted to ask a few questions or for a little advice. I currently work full time but do mobile spray taning on the side. I only started it a month ago and so far it is not doing very well. I'm finding that alot of people I know love the idea of it but then never actually commit. I have been doing parties, much like the body shop ones, at a friends house but not many people are turning up.

I've been thinking about joining this and maybe linking the two somehow. My only issue is that I don't really like the idea of going to people's houses I don't somehow know. For example my ideal situation would be to do a party at a friend's, then one of her friends (that I'd never met) decides to host one a week later or something.

My worry is that I am young (24 next month!) and I find alot of my friends never have money at the end of the month and i'm not 100% sure it's something they'd commit to. I'm worried people would come to parties and never actually buy anything.

Does anyone have similar experience? I live in Berkshire, and have no idea if there is already a consultant as have only just started my research but could use some guidance.

I'm just trying to find a way of earning extra cash, as I love my full time job but it's very low pay :(

    Hiya Catsy,

I am finding that people say they arent going to spend but when they actually see the products and try them, they always end up buying something.
plus, you have nothing to lose! you have to do 6 parties in the first 3 weeks of being a consultant then its up to you how many you do and when u do them. gettign the first 6 isnt that hard either, just contact all your friends and family, you will be surprised how many of them will be willing to help you out. im in essex if you were interested in joining, not sure if thats a bit far for you. but for sure u have nothing to lose! im 23 also and love doing this. i have a party tonight and i cant wait!
