I have frequently seen our own cats and those of neighbours happily playing and snuggling up to the young fox cubs, and it's a wonderful sight to behold. Conversely, I once had the very unpleasant experience of witnessing a desperately ravenous adult fox kill a neighbours cat and carry it away to feed on. Nature can be both kind and cruel.

Yes, that's true. Although I was extemely upset at losing the rabbits, and we did everything we could to secure them in the knowledge foxes lived closeby, at the end of the day it's just nature
I've never heard of a fox actually killing a cat before though so it must have been extemely hungry indeed“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
We warned our neighbours a fox goes round many gardens in the area, including ours. So they decided to buy some rabbits. The fox had a nice lunch...
But, now they've gone, the fox is a welcome sighting occasionally. Just looks so sleek and with its cubs its soooo cute!
We have hedgehogs too, and I can't decide which poo is which nowadays.
Urban foxes are tame and friendly so I like them. Never seen a country fox which isn't squished, unfortunately.0 -
Sounds a bit grim but male human urine is a known deterrent. We have chickens and foxes started to leave their poops on the lawn not long after we got them. My partner now relieves himself at various spots around the garden and it works a treat...haven't seen trace of a fox for months! Thankfully we don'e have any neighbours overlooking the garden or could be rather amusing!!!
Anothere method I have heard of but haven't tried is to fill tights with human hair and hang them at points around the garden.
Hope this helps!
