1000 photographs!!
At 1 per minute that would take you 16.66 hours. I would guess that a lot of times it takes more than a minute to set up your shot so you are going to spend at least a couple of days of your holiday just taking snaps.

It's possible to take 1000 shots no problem.
If you were away for 14 days, 1000 shots is 71 pictures a day. If you were out and about for 8 hours a day, that would be just under 9 photos an hour. Hardly a great amount.
My camera can take 71 photos in under 30 seconds, and that's not even particularly fast nowadays, so I'd have no trouble filling my daily quota and taking 1000 shots.
There's no need to be stingy when it comes to taking digital photos!0
