HIPS advice needed please

Hi,

Have a 2 bed terraced property that I want to sell asap.

Can someone please let me know what the quickest, easiest and cheapest way is to get a HIPS pack for it and how do they work - is there a dummy guide available anywhere....

Thanks in advance

Look at this link as many houses have downloadable HIPs.
Others will come along and tell you where to go for your HIPs but bear in mind you often get what you pay for. I am an EA (nothing to do with the company in the link) and knowing what I know I would look at my solicitor doing it as it is more likley to be right but not always the cheapest option.

This topic crops up all the time here. Try doing a search on HIPs.

You could start with this thread which has another link inside it to yet another thread.

    Hope this helps.

We are selling our house through Halifax , they advised us of companies to do Hip,s.We were quoted approx. £440 and paid 1% deposit (£4-40 !!) and were told that the balance would have to be paid after 6 months or when property sold , whichever sooner.Hops this helps

    Hi,

I just paid £233.00 yesterday afternoon and the process started within a couple of hours. I had the man on the phone to come round and complete the EPC and this morning I got the relevant land registry details(I know I could get them myself). I read some good reports on here for net house prices.

    Cheers

You do get what you pay for. Try your solicitor.
