Mobile Internet in N. Ireland is frazzling my head...

I'm having problems finding a 'good' deal on mobile internet. I've read a good few previous posts on this forum on the issue and have read a lot about technical problems and then not being able to do anything because you're signed into a 24 month contract etc.
The issues:
1. N.Ireland, therefore coverage is a problem. 3 is very dodgy in N.Ireland according to the map. Vodafone okayish, but O2 seems to be best.
2. O2 is 20 pounds per month - the most expensive, plus the dude in Carphone Warehouse could only offer me a 2 yr contract.
3. Quidco is offering 90 pounds back cashback on vodafone mobile internet, on a 15 per month deal, which is swaying me, but on the other hand I don't want to get sucked in by that only to find I have rubbish reception and very slow speeds.
Advice, help etc would be appreciated, the whole thing is boggling my brain slightly, I don't like contracts, but it seems to be a lot more sensible than the pay as you go mobile internet.
The other alternative and the true moneysaving thing to do would to be to forfeit the internet... which it may come to!!!
