SIP device (linksys pap2) on voipcheap... outbound number

Hi,

I've just set up a linksys pap2 to link to voipcheap so that I can use a normal phone and make voipcalls without having my computer switched on.

One of the negatives of voipcheap is that you can't get an inbound number. However, if you call from the computer... it does allow you to use an alternative number so that when you make outbound calls they are not from 'anonymous'.

So basically, when i call from my computer using voipcheap I've set it up so that the 'caller id' receieved by the third party is the number from my mobile. This allows me to call people who don't allow anonymous calls to their telephone number.

The problem is that i don't know how to configure this set up on my pap2 device; i.e. whenever I make outbound calls they are all going as anonymous.

Does anyone know if this is possible to configure on the pap2?

Thanks.

Storms

I'm just experimenting with my Speedtouch 780WL (which works great with VoIPcheap) and have exactly the same Q.

    Did you get it resolved?
