Went to court on Monday. It went ok. The Judge dismissed the petition on the grounds that it had been paid in full, including costs. Moorhead James representative was surprised we attended. She was quite helpfull and explained why they had to attend and about other creditors being able to take over the petition. Its called 'carriage'.

She was quite supportive with our complaints of how we had been treated by connaught and moorhead james and explained all this to the Judge. He was unable to do anything because we had paid the debt and costs but insisted Moorhead James look into it through their internal complaints procedure.

Also advised to contact FSA to complain about Connaught.

I am pleased that it went well, maz.

I second the advice about contacting FSA - I most certainly would not let the matter rest, now that the ball is in your court, so to speak.

    Good Luck.

Holiday ok, didn't really start properly until Tuesday for us, but it was a well needed break.

Thanks to you all for your help and advice. I'll let you know if we get anywhere with our complaints.
