(Just like you flybabybunting I want to know why Nicki istelling us what's in her cupboards? Does she think she's on the Grocery Challenge thread or do we all have to do that?)

Not to steal her thunder - she is trying to use up the contents of cupboards/freezer rather than buy more food!

Ooh - there's a thought! Mind you I suppose baking ripe bananas instead of composting them (my kids like 'em GREEN) is using up, too.

I'd end up serving some really odd meals! Pasta and chips! LOL

    Evening all

    Hello new people
Pigpen - well done on getting rid of that student loan! And I understand your reasons for straying from the path Martin ~curtsey~ suggests. But I do think he understands that what ever works best for individual circumstances is the right way to go.

Mudbath - well done on your decision over the private health care stuff. I'm sure it's the right one. And the tale of the £10 note is just lovely..

Kaz - well done on getting rid of that loan!!! It's a great feeling isn't it?

Right, I've had my usual Friday evening but with extras. Gin and gossip done. Hairdresser been (and NO - he was booked anyway!!!!!) but I did get him to put on a bit extra mousse so all I need to do is brush in the morning. Toenails done. Two loads of washing done (if I'm out most of tomorrow, I need to be ahead of the routine stuff). One load is on the line and had better dry this evening.

Home swished and swiped again. no more deep clean needs doing.

Just need to find some dinner now then relax a bit ready for tomorrow. I might just do a quick moisturise of the face...

No Mudders I distinctly heard it as I walked past the OH while he was working at being a flyman....clearing up the kitchen, unloading DW, and bringing 2 loads off the line....it said very clearly......

don't share with anyone, I'm your special friend, we don't need anyone else

Sorry Mudders, my Tanqueray is extremely selfish, just for that, I'm going to drink it extra quickly!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ooh Boddy I haven't heard of that one of Torey Hayden's books. I just did a search in my library for all of the books by her, but tbh, my library isn't the greatest for books - they don't have any of Martin Lewis' books!

Haven't done much more in terms of flying since this morning as I went to pick up my car after lunch (only £420.06 instead of the £450 quoted) and then went to Mr T. Hadn't done my mealplans but did them on the spot with OH's help, and we're stocked up for the week now hopefully so fingers crossed I won't need to go next week.

Glad your DD is getting better Sarah and that your finger is too Mudbath.

Good luck for tomorrow Soappie - I hope he makes you soappier. Keeping my fingers crosse that it all goes well for you.

Well done to our latest flybabies for all of your achievements today. Remember to focus on what you have achieved, not on what hasn't been done. We celebrate successes on this thread however small they may seem. Try to pace yourself, otherwise you'll end up burning out, and then be too tired to do rooms further on in the week like I have been today as a returnee.

Hugs to all who need them, and congratulations to all of you dealing with your debts. You are inspirational.

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
