Oh soappie I've gone all of a dither, I'll be excited for you.

    Thankyou!
soappie - good luck. How are you feeling and also what does DS think?

I'm feeling curiously calm about it all. Almost as though the meeting is meant to be.There's no anger in me - there's no recrimination, there are no nasty feelings at all. There's a big curiousity and a touch of residual fondness underneath somewhere. I'm not nervous, I'm not over-excited. I'm just - well - calm... It would be lovely if we could become good friends . We are both a big part of each other's past - albeit 25 years ago and it'll be nice to reminisce (about the good times of course!)

DS is cool about it. (At least he says he is!). Given the time ex1 is due to come round, he'll probably still be in bed anyway (DiL works on a Saturday so will be out early). And I don't plan for us to stay too long in the house anyway. So that's a delicate bridge which will be crossed tentatively when it needs to be crossed. I won't force it.
Cleared diary for Sunday just in case..........are you having bad thoughts Ms Soappie?

None at all RMC. There'll be no overnight or afternoon bedroom stuff ;). It's just if we get on well on Saturday, it would be a shame not to go out somewhere again on Sunday as he's staying in the area (he lives about 130 miles away). I might even drive out his way then...

But, I have to remember that he may be just suffering from curiousity and decide one meeting is enough. After all, I'm 25 years older than I was and nowhere near as slim and beautiful (?) as I used to be (I keep telling everyone I have a picture in the attic that gets more and more beautiful everyday - a sort of reverse Dorian Gray!).

And SarahSh (do you know, I keep wanting to shorten that to SarahShat - but that doesn't read well :rotfl:) and Boddy - thanks for your good lucks etc. keep your fingers crossed for me please.

Right - off to sparkle the bathroom now.

And dearest MuddyMud - thanks for your good lucks too. Glad the finger is feeling better. Have you ever thought of getting around to insuring your hands? Just in case? How is the one handed massage technique coming on? Hugs...

Can the union really do anything? Although have just realised that they are now in breach of contract, given that I have not received payslip for month and it is last day of the month.

I think so....I'd contact them. Also, as hex (I think) said, what about holiday pay etc?

hex - are you a personnel person? No, you cant be, you are far too sensible ;)

Someone here works in HR but I am not sure who. Yeah holiday pay and the two weeks I made it back to work. Was going to give them some time to sort it out but no, now I am mad, so I am going to call tomorrow and give them hell. (Can you ever see anyone in HR waiting for their pay)

My god you lot can talk.

Soappie. Hope you have a great time and glad that DS is ok with it.

SSL-thank you for tyhe offer of assistance with passport issue. He does know now that we are going so hopefully it won't be anissue. Bless her my niece told my n=mum that if we couldn't get hold of her daddy then that would mean that she would have to stay at home when we went away. No way can I go without her. It just would be right. She is such a sweet kid.

Well have done nothing. Been to Mcdonalds (bad I know) and homebase to spend a £10 voucher. I bought a stairgate but don't think it is up to the job. Can't be climbing over it each night so will need to change it

    Hello
Just thought I'd slop in and then slop out again quietly. Not much flying done this week. Though in my defence I have printed off the list and am working through it very very slowly.:o
DH went back to work today. :j Kids rooms are still in chaos. DD's room is now decorated (after 16 weeks)and the carpet is down. I'm trying to whittle down the amount of toys she has but she isn't being very cooperative. Will have to do it by stealth I think. I have washing up to my eyeballs and the weather isn't being very cooperative either.

Just feel so tired today. I think it's the relief of not having DH in the way interrupting my normal routine.

I haven't caught up with what everyone is/has been doing. It'll take ages to do 33 pages so please forgive me. Though I notice that soappie appears to have a little excitement in her life at the moment;)

Might post my list tomorrow and have a lurk over the weekend. Otherwise will be back on form next week
