    Hi Mudders how's your finger?

Rain has stopped play here again but I have got a few bits done. I think I had left the rose too long and it is dead, really cross with my stupid self - I coul have put it back in a week ago or potted it up - laziness has cost me - I'll see if it reshoots and if not will have to invest in a replacement in the autumn.

Going to prepare pots for tea and if it stops raining pick the sweet peas

    You're all quite bonkers!!

Afternoon all especially to Roxy and any other new people. I'm the serious one on here. I love cleaning and my house is like a shiny new pin as I do every list, every day and all the way to level 3. Now, everyone will tell you this isn't true but they're just jealous. I am PERFECT!

Fingers crossed so I don't get caught out by the naughty fairies for telling porky pies!!! :rotfl:

And what Mudders didn't tell you is that she wears a hat and gloves to do her shopping and sets all of us a jolly good example, dontcha know. And when she's is doing her cleaning she always wears an apron, she is just so perfect! (She looks, and sounds like Celia Johnson!):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

methinks the gardening has gone to my head! S'probably heatstroke;)

You can pickle it very easily! I believe it's somewhat messy and stainy though. Hope you've got some bleach in! I've got some jars if you need 'em!:D

    Afternoon everyone.

Feeling a lot better, and managed to get out in the garden for a bit so that has made me feel loads better than this morning, i think it is mainly the heat making me funny. Managed to get ds2 to take a longer nap this afternoon too, so hopefully that will stop some of the grumps later.

    Strikey time:
    • [STRIKE]food shop[/STRIKE]
    • take the 2 boys swimming seems though they both loved it last week when i took them didn't bother as i had been sick
    • do some more packing for hols - all needs to be done by Thursday night so we can go ASAP on Fri morning.
    • [STRIKE]wash a load of white stuff[/STRIKE] after stain soaking
    • wash the swimming stuff and towels
    • make a shep pie for dinner
    extras:
    • made a special rice by reheating egg fried rice from last night, added a couple of spring onions, some garlic, 2 leftover sausages and a couple of rashers of bacon, a couple of sweet peppers and some peas. It was NYOM!!
    • done about an hours weeding in the garden - removed loads of baby sycamore that grow everywhere within days of the last weeding
    • played with ds1 on the swing
    • spoke to sister on phone
    • uploaded some photos to facebook
    • checked online banking
    • updated spending diary
    • bought a new bathmat i liked for £6. The old one is pretty worn out and i must have had it 6 years - different shades of blue stripes
    • made a meal plan for the next few days
    • emptied bathroom bin

    MMMMMMMM fresh beetroot fantastic!

    Roasted...yummy:
Washed/scrubbed. Cut off root and stem. Either roast whole if they're quite small, or quarter. Toss in olive oil salt and pepper. Perhaps a little rosemary if you're feeling that way inclined. Roast till tender.... 30-40 mins I'd guess... never timed it before.

    Steamed :
Washed/scrubbed. Cut bottom of root off, leaving the bottom of the beetroot intact, same with the stem. The idea is to keep the juices inside. Steam till tender. Eat hot, or cooled for salad.

HTH cos that was a supreme effort!!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone's having a good day, I feel like garbage, but not long till bedtime... 2 hrs and counting!!!
