I am not applying as I have a Nitty Gritty comb! These standard ones don't work very well, but still a very good post for an ongoing school problem!!!!:)
I haven't got mine yet, but from the picture it doesn't look like the standard comb you usually get. Looks very similar to the best one I've ever bought - the Bug Buster Kit.
I splashed out on the Nitty Gritty comb but didn't have much success with it - perhaps DD's hair is too thick for it or something - just found it pulled her hair out really badly. Found the Bug Buster comb much better, so hopefully this is similar so I will have a spare. I comb through once a week now so that we catch any early. She's had headlice three times in her first year at school, so think there's someone at school who doesn't know their kid has it... or doesn't care that they have :mad:0 -
Thanks, it's always a battle!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0

Hi. Thanks for the posting. Have sent for mine. Am so fed up with daughter in particular coming home from school with them. Our school no longer notify outbreaks "so as not to stigmatize the child(ren) involved" :mad:
Unless they are putting in the letter " Wee Fred Smith has nits" I fail to see how a general "we have an outbreak of headlice in the school" type letter is going to cause a problem.
We have had so many different lotions and potions that my daughter now has psoraisis(???) on her scalp and none of the lotions seem to kill the lice anyway. She hates having her hair combed but it is at least a once-a-week ritual - and takes a good 2hours as she has very thick hair. Still summer hols gives us a chance to get rid - for at least a few weeks!!!!
Bring back the nit nurse I say!!!!0 -
