NSD for me :j . Made £5 from an ebay sale which finished 3 weeks ago - the buyer finally paid...IN CASH!!! What was she thinking sending money through the post?? She never replied to any of my emails. Her feedback is well over 1,000 but after reading some of the feedback it looks like she is a slow payer. I wish they hadn't taken away the sellers right to give neutral/negative feedback. Well, at least she's paid now.

    Rant over.

Matched betting - I tried to explain it in the June thread here - not sure if it makes it clearer or even more complicated!! :rotfl:You definitely need to get your head around it before you launch in but am happy to try to help here. You can do some trial runs by working out the bets without actually placing them and seeing how the profit works. That gives a bit more confidence. And there are spreadsheets which work it all out for you! When I started this time last year I made over £1K in the first 4 or 5 months. Then got tired of it and am just getting going again now. Football makes it much easier (no awkward rule differences).

A cunning plan you say....??? Hmmm, a share-able cunning plan?:rotfl:

More dog training, more matched betting, and if I have the nerve the NW spread betting offer! Not that cunning actually but should bring in the necessaries!
  • Well I listed 17 items on Amazon this lunchtime (it is so quick and easy!) and 2 have sold already so I have £8.74 from amzon (well need to post the books but that'll be about 50p as I have lots of odd stamps I can use!)
I've never used Amazon before but I'm quite impressed! Though I have listed all the books I want rid of now so there aren't any others I want to part with-so all or nothing with this batch. I was going to take them to the local cafe where they you can swap them for other books but I prefer the cash and I can always use the library!
I'll update the signature in a bit!
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!

I managed 3 MS yesterday bringing in £23.50 in fees and some free sportswear (£10 reimbursement, reduced from £25, going on ebay as 'brand new with tags') and I found 5p on the street when I was on my way to a free screening at the cinema.

And I still haven't taken a taxi this month.

I would assume MB to mean that you use the free bets given through cashback sites to bet. If betting on a footie game, bet one team to win on one betting site and then the other team to win on another betting site. So you always win on one of them???

EDIT - ooh it looks confusing on those MB boards and I don't think I am right so ignore that!

    Jesa,
You sort of got it right but your second bet needs to be the EXACT opposite of the first i.e.

    Take Manchester United v Arsenal

Bet 1: You bet: MU to win
Bet 2: You lay a bet: MU to win (this bet wins if MU do NOT win as it's a laid bet) (not Arsenal to win)

If you bet Arsenal to win, and the match is drawn, both bets will lose and you could stand to lose a lot of money!

That's what I managed to glean from the massive thread on the subject. It was rather mindbending!

No - your explanation was spot on. You bet on one outcome and lay the same outcome at the betting exchange - the lay is effectively betting that this won't happen. So all options are covered and you win somewhere no matter what.
