Would be nice to head to the beach but the road down (A31) always gets packed in nice weather. Luckily I have the New Forest on my doorstep so we can cycle there in 20 mins.
I wouldn't worry about not hitting the beach Tigzem - I've just come back from Poole Park and the traffic is heavy heading towards Sandbanks. They will be queuing by now for the car park I would think - it's usually full by 10 on a day like today! The park was nice and empty at 10, we stuck to the shade all the way around to keep it as cool as possible - I think it would be much nicer to spend it on the grass in the park with the harbours edge lapping against the path than fighting for a few inches to park a towel on at Sandbanks.

Thanks Olive! Thats a great tip and I might try that later. Its unbearable in our house upstairs at the moment. We have to leave the windows open front and back at night to let a breeze blow through!

The meal was lovely last night. Would have been better with a nice glass of wine though...:o As it was I drank gallons of iced water - my skin should be glowing but the Bean is super charging my hormones so I'm a bit spotty and the multiple insect bites aren't helping!
I am officially 12 weeks pregnant now so the really worrying bit is (apparently) over but I need to stay strong not to tell everyone before the scan - or am I being daft - I just feel that until I have at least heard a heartbeat (please let it be just one!) its almost not 'real' IYSWIM. I guess I am a bit daft

Hi Lucifa - yeay for getting to 12 weeks. I know exactly what you mean - once you have the scan its real and in front of you - and a belated congratulations from me.
It has warmed up now yeay so I can join in with all of you and be hot! I always get random bursts of energy in the heat so have just swept and mopped the hall and feel like Im about to self combust!
Off to put some washing on the line - see you later. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Lucifa, I never really got to grips with the human thing inside me until I met them
(they're def. real then)
As to the mouse problem. These critters have been nibbling valuable "stuff" :rotfl: :rotfl: (kids toys more like) for weeks now. They've also disturbed DS2 scrabbling round in the roof.
And I've been cogitating on their disposal for some time....
I didn't want to use poison, partly because they could die in an inaccessible place, and rot  , partly because the cat or birds might eat them and get ill.
The cat-in-the-roof didn't work. He had a whale of a time, but didn't catch anything
And traps worried me, because I didn't want to deal with the bodies.
When I took my mum to B&Q yesterday I spotted these sonic things that drive mice away.......
Very DFW, because it went in her trolley and she paid
Not very DFW, because they're plugged in and are equivalent to 4 light bulbs (didn't say what wattage  )0 -

it's so eerily quiet along my road today. I live on a quiet road but today it just feels so 'still'.
I'm probably missing the gas men digging and swearing....... ..........I guess they'll be back tomorrow though!
