I think I'm a lucky one tbh. I opted to stay home with our son when he was born and all the bills etc are paid by the other half. The actual debt was ran up whilst she was training for her midwifery degree a good 6 years ago and I struggled to pay it back for that amount of time.
The sheer elation for me was basically due to the end of worrying about what to sell on ebay to get the money for the bills! The other half does more than enough for me as it is without having to worry about my bills too!Bankrupt 28/07/08!0 -
Hi HS & Erip, ( shared post I think!)
Well done both & thanks for sharing.
As the OH of an undischarged BR I know the stress it all causes but additionally know of the relief of knowing that the issue is now dealt with & you have taken the recommended advice.
Please now relax & start to look forward. BR is not the easy option, by any means, but sometimes life is not easy !! The hardest thing is to not deal with it!....well done again,

I know what Fiveyearplan means too. Not elated by any means, but at least the release from the endless darting about between Peter and Paul and dodging nasty calls and letters means you have a chance to draw breath and start to organise your life a little better. At least, that's what I'm hoping to do.

I'm still waiting to hear from the Official Receiver. It'll be a week tomorrow and I've not had a letter or anything. Is this usual?Bankrupt 28/07/08!0

Happy days indeed.
Usually a sign that yours is a simple straight forward case, and you filled your petition in fully and clearly with all pertinent facts and details.
Well done.:beer:0
