SKIPTON BS or Julian Hodge for ISA?

Hi All,

Both SKIPTON BS and Julian Hodge Bank offer 6.5% for their fixed rate ISAs... but the problem is I've never heard of any of the two.

I've done a few search and know some people have used Julian Hodge and found them quite reliable. I can't find anything relating to SKIPTON BS (except that they've posted something to the wrong address...)

Any contribution is much appreciated - which one should I go for? - have any one experienced what SKIPTON BS is like?

Many thanks,

Mike

Here's a link to another thread discussing a different Skipton account, see posts 4 and 5.

Think the Skipton one is being withdrawn on 29/7. Think I'll go with Hodge when my current fix finishes in August.

I opened mine with Skipton on Saturday and was told then that it would be withdrawn on Tuesday. Anyone wanting to open the 6.5% FR with Skipton should probably do so tomorrow, to be safe.

Julian Hodge! Super prompt transaction...opened an ISA, less than 3 working days, everything done.

Took me a few days longer but I was transferring in from the A&L. JHB were very efficient - sent a letter to say they had requested transfer from the A&L and another to confirm all was complete. Then I got a satisfaction survey through the post too!

The 6.5% rate seems to be history already though - their website now says 6.2% for 1 year fixed!
