Before I moved house could connect ipod to wi-fi no probs, now moved, got new router NETGEARwireless G WGR614V9 cannot connect at all, spent hours on this, now in wi-fi settings where it says ip address got that, subnet mask got that, dns got that, do not know what number to put in for router, then it says serach domains and client id both to be left blank, never had to do all this last time, so, some forums say it should be on DHCP others manual at the bottom, it is on DHCP and HTTP PROXY says off, it keeps saying select a password which I do then unaable to join the network,I have checked with my network and am entering the right password but the ipod touch will not accept it,please help:confused:

    Dont have an ipod touch,
DHCP is good both ON (router & ipod)
    Wireless on
    Security OFF (for now)
    subnet mask might be 255.255.255.0
router would be 192.168.1.1 (does that automatically)
    connect, and test.
On the router set security to ON and enter any random characters/letters/numbers/uppercase/lowercase (suggest 13 charachters)password you choose
    ipod lost connection
select wep or wpa - better
on ipod enter password (hope you wrote it down) and wpa + tkip

    ipod connection
thats about it. The router AND the ipod, set each up seperately

Are you tapping the shift key between letters? If not it will enter a lower case letter and most keys are in CAPS.
