More scares... When will it stop?

If you want to keep bird flu out of your computer

A/ keep the Windows up to date.
B/ Install suitable spyware and anti virus protection and keep it up to date
C/ don't go to dodgy web sites - you know what I mean
D/ Use the X to close pop ups.
E/ Always check for the padlock ( borttom bar on Internet Explorer or look at address must be HTPSS on the address bar before putting in personal information like passpords etc.

Do that and you should be OK.

However if you let the kids use the computer you are going to get trashed no matter what. Give them limited access or buy them a computer you can wipe and restore to the latest configuration easily ( see a local computer shop for advice ). There is fairly cheap software that allows that available.
