Orange Samsung D600

Hi,
I've just got the Samsung D600 from Orange with the half price 6 month, trade in (£50 for a sendo) and referral (£50 for me, £25 for a friend which was a new sim card bought at the same time for my spare phone). Expected to pay about £104 over the year with 200 min every month.
It is a generic phone and does not seem Orange branded in any way, it even takes my old Tesco sim which is on O2 network.
What I need to know is how do I get the actual model number of the phone I bought, the catalogue states it should be the D600e but the box and paperwork does not mention the 'e'. How do I check?

I believe the D600e is identical to the D600 apart from the "edge" feature, which is some kind of data transfer tool.0

Hey troubled buyer,
Can you explain how you are only paying £104 for the year. I want to get the same deal with 200 mins (your plan 200), 6 months 1/2 price and £50 trade in, £50 reccomend a friend.
When i calculate it it comes to £170. i.e. £30 line rental x 12 months = £360. £360 / 2(6 months) = £180 /2(half price rental) = £90.
So £360 (total line rental) - £90 (6 months 1/2 price) - £50 (trade in) - £50 (friend) = £170.
Also when you said that you used a payg sim, is it your own sim? If so how did you say you reccomended yourself?
Thanks in Advance0 -
Also do you like the D600? I am trying to decide between it and the W800i? Argh.0

I would think, downgrade to 60 mins tariff (£19) after 6 months. So,
£90 (first 6 months 1/2 price) + 114 (next 6 months * £19) - £50 (trade in) - £50 (friend) = £104.0 -
Hi raj75.
Correct, anytime 200 with the reduction at 6 months to £19. I don't expect to use all my minutes as I really just wanted a better phone that was more up to date and saleable.
I did also do the referal scheme so I get £50 discount but my friend also gets £5. My friend is the new sim card which will have a credit of £26 ie £1 std + £25, this will make a good spare phone for emergencies or to sell on as a working phone/sim with credit.
I wanted a W800 but Orange have none in stock anywhere, when I questioned them they said they had been recalled!0 -
How to recommend/refer yourself.
By an orange sim card (£5) and get it activated in a different name to yourself but with your address. Name could be wildly different or just another initial.
I'm not sure if you could do this whilst buying the actual phone but you could go to another shop, try later or try another assistant.
All you need is an orange mobile number which is not registered to the name in which you are arranging the actual credit deal.
Also I was told that you can pay your monthly amounts by either direct debit or invoice. If you opt for invoide no bank details are taken and they send you a bill, this costs an additional £2.55 but if you pay this direct ant the orange shop they refund you £3.00 therefore you win by £0.45p.0 -

Hi
I have a unregistered Orange PAYG sim here. If I ring up and register it to another name in my address, can I then recommend myself?
Also, is this off the Orange website?

Are Orange the ones you do not allow your minutes to roll over each month?0
