Okay, I need an idiots guide on how to connect all these together please.

My VCR died last night and this morning I pulled the wrong lead out when reaching around the back and i'm puzzled as to why everything will now not work with the new VCR I sent down from upstairs!

Everything works, but not together like it used too. At first the VCR signal was poor, but I sorted that and now the DVD won't play and I can't tape to VCR other than via SKY (non terrestial channels)

TV only has 1 scart lead and I have a spare cable that there are no holes left for, so unless i've used a spare cable from somewhere and can't work it out :o

Any help very much appreciated!

Thanks

Any more info needed let me know

    Here's my attempt...

    Aerial input> Sky RF in
Sky Rf out > Vcr Rf in
Vcr Rf out> Tv RF in
    Sky scart > Vcr Scart
Dvd player scart > Tv scart input

If you tune the VCR into the TV you will be able to watch SKY on the VCR channel with the VCR set to "AV" or "Input".
The Tv should have all the normal 5 channels,
And the DVD player will be on AV or Input on yor TV

Thanks tried that with similar results.

The VCR channel is really fuzzy, even when I tune/track it.

When I take Sky RF out - TV RF in, out, perfect picture on VCR but lose terrestrial channels.

Either way - DVD not recognised.

    I'm baffled :o

Worked out the DVD, but still can't get terrestrial to work at the same time as SKY. To watch clear SKY have to take RF Out cable from the back of the box as when it's in, it's fuzzy and can't see anything.

On the VCR that died, didn't need any other devices like a switchbox.

Oh poop. Sod it. A pin came out of the back of one of the output holes in the back of the Sky Box with all the changing of leads, so using the other hole now and will forget about terrestrial TV.

Sky, DVD and VCR are all working great and if anyone wants terrestrial tv (very rarely) they can go watch the portable upstairs.
