Any cheap motor oil from somewhere like Tesco or Asda will do.Get it from the shop and not the garage forecourt,it's usually cheaper.
Look for petrol or diesel on the label depending what you car is and dont stress too much about 10-40 15-50 10-50 just get some wet runny stuff in there as running low on oil will kill the engine.
i hope i never own a car you have owned....work permit granted!0 -

15w/40 part synthetic. Suprisingly the Castrol is cheaper in halfords than tesco!
For further information regarding the Peugeot 106, there is a HUGE community (which I am part of) www.106owners.co.uk.
Hope to see you there
P.S. With a spare tenner, grab yourself a Haynes manual. It will cover all the info you need, what bulbs, oil, filters etc0 -
Ok, you need to do the following.
1) Open the bonnet:
To do this, the 'catch' is in the passenger footwell, on the left, pull it towards you
2) Pull out the dipstick (usually a metal rod with a coloured plastic handle)
3) Clean the measurement at the bottom with some kitchen roll
4) dip the stick back in, take it back out and see how low it is.
The peugeot 106 tank is 3.6 litres of oil, so if it's half full, you need 1.8! The castrol oil has measurements down the side.
5) Unscrew that black cap, right in front of you!
6) Top up the oil with sufficient amount, better to have too little than too much.
7) Keep cleaning and dipping the dipstick to check the level it is at. Once happy, put the lid back on and close the bonnet

Yellow thing is the dipstick, the black lid to the left of it is where your oil goes
Now, if you're feeling REALLY adventurous, you can do all the oil change yourself with a guide
