Actually you have raised A VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE who is to say you have not won more than you have ...simply because of delivery issues.....I am aware of 2 recent examples for myself of going to wrong addresses let alone just being left on the doorstep on a busy highway.....flat 5 number 1 going to number 5 with no number 1...on collection POSTMAN CANNOT READ!!!!!!!!!

My posties do that alot. Most recently my new laptop (grad present) was left on the doorstep! Im away for a few weeks but my dad told me, they weren't in to sign for it so he just left it. It better be ok :mad:

They often leave stuff in the bins too. Suppose it's better than the doorstep though :rolleyes:

Believe me it's not just numbers they get wrong.
We live on L***** Grove which goes onto L***** drive. there is no road changes, junctions etc. The people on the drive are not very good at passing on letters.

So much of our mail has gone to the drive that if I'm expecting anything important I always phone and check when it's been sent. I did complained to royal mail and it became worse.

My brother in law ( sadly deceased) was a managed for a sorting office. He would be so upset at the drop in RM standards. My sister still works for RM and says a lot of the postal workers are now temps. Also they don't have the checks done on them like they used to have. :mad:

Some one was saying about things being left in bins and the bin being emptied with the parcel in. We take it in turns with next door to put the bins out. Anything put in wouldn't be seen by either of us:mad:

Mine has started doing this, He posts the letters through the box and leaves parcels on the doorstep, doesnt ring the bell, even if its obvious I am home. So I dont find it til I leave the house.

I hate couriers - One tried to charge me £12 to get a redelivery.

Gosh I would be sooooooo angry. Your very lucky that it was still there.

The thing is, it took 3weeks for play.com to actually send it cuz they made me do 2 security checks online. Then it's left on doorstep, so y bother with the security checks lol.

I don't get the point in saying things have to be signed for when the postmen/couriers can sign it themselves? Surely they could just sign then nick it.

Yeah i also read on here before that some1 was awaiting a lakeland delivery, was told it was sent ages ago, then they think it must have been emptied as was put in the bin :rolleyes:

And all this was the reason i joined the Royal mail survey panel from the freebies board awhile ago. Free stamps Altho i'm currently not at my address for a couple of weeks and forgot to tell them, uh oh, fired!:o

A lot of my mail has been posted a few doors up(not sure how honest most of them are to tell you the truth) and i often get theirs.. One which looked like a childs bday card (could see it through the envelope). I was expecting a parcel a few weeks back which i still haven't recieved. It makes me angry.:mad: All these strikes they have so they can get a pay rise when most of them don't even do their job right. I actually thought about contacting royal mail today. Postie forced a jiffy bag through my small letterbox and broke my foster sunglasses i won!!!

I always find it funny that most of the time when i am not home,i don't get any mail but usually get mail every day. I am sure someone may be pinching it as the majority of the time my mail sticks out the letterbox as postman doesn't put it in right.

Then what happens when you complain....we have a signature etc........as if they really believe ALL employees are honest...or have become so cynical based on the few that all customers are Guilty?:mad:

I have also had parcels (not wins, but things I have ordered) left propped up against my front door on my doorstep!!! I have also had parcels jammed behind the lights on the wall outside the front door (for everyone to see ). On at least two occasions I have actually been in and know that the postie didn't knock or ring the bell but chose to just leave it outside for me to find (luckily) when I have gone out I live on a main road with an open driveway and there are always people walking past the front of my house so it would be very easy for someone to just take anytyhing left there. (I did used to have two beautiful potted plants either side of my front door until someone took it upon themselves to walk off with them!!) I do wonder sometimes if I have actually had a few surprise wins (that just turn up) that I have not known about because they have been left outside :mad:

Last week I was expecting 3 parcels, one of which was next day delivery so should def have been there on the tuesday. By friday there was still nothing - no red slip even. Having just moved to the area i didn't know where the collection office was so rang royal mail who gave me the address and number. It was a good drive away so tried to ring them on friday with no answer. Then again on sat morning, just as i'm about to leave the house to go in search of them the RM man turns up with all 3! All of which were meant to be signed for, but they had peeled half of the "signed for" stickers off and never asked me to sign anythign. *Grrr* they are rubbish sometimes!
